Perhaps it's just the sheer predictability, the safer-course take-no-risk attitude that rendered a potentially new take in this tired sub-genre, that disappointed me. The characters, from their respective starting points and towards the end of the movie, evolved because of their experiences, so no complaints there either. Plot and story-wise, it was pretty okay, a stretch, but definitely within the realm of possibility (and office romance is an ever present occupational hazard for most-all of us). Technically, there are some flaws (particularly the dubbing on Freddie Webb's lines, I'm not sure if that's really his voice or whether they used someone else as a stand in, perhaps Mr. The wordless yet meaningful look shared by two people who desire to initiate something, but are both reluctant to start.Actually, after washing the dishes, I was thinking what is it about the movie that makes it a disappointment for me, it's not the individual effort displayed by the leads, and the production value is there, for most parts.

From English Only Please to T hat Thing Called Tadhana up to You’re my Boss, all three of them revolve in a heartbreak-to-falling-in-love story., like there is this heartbroken girl trying to move on and then whe will meet a guy who will help her move on by falling in love. This was the third movie of Antoinette Jadaone that I had watched.

Now I’m certain, Antoinette Jadaone is one of the best director of her era. The two perfectly portrayed their characters and I believe that nobody will do it better than Toni and Coco. Pong symbolizes a simple man who never forgets to be grateful of his past despite of heartaches experienced from his family and from his true identity. Georgina symbolizes a career woman who strives to be the best in everything she do but at the end of the day, she puts off a mask and wears the velvet sadness of being alone–no family, no friends and no lover. The ironies of life showcased fit in the puzzle pieces of Pong and Georgina’s lives. You’re my Boss is not your ordinary rom-com movie.
